Scanning, Digitising & Well Logging

Our scanning and digitising services can take care of virtually any type of document.

Data stored on paper, film or other media can be valuable for modern exploration analysis. DPTS can help to convert this data for use with the modern digital systems. With DPTS, your maps, drawings, reports, observers logs, seismic sections and well logs can be scanned, in black and white, greyscale, or colour, and output to all standard formats.  Well logs, seismic sections and maps can be vectorised and output in workstation ready formats.

Well Log digitising is performed using our proprietary software to achieve maximum data recovery our expert operators.  DPTS are also delighted to offer full scanning and digitising services for Dipmeter tadpole and ‘Russian’ style logs.  Verification and repair of existing digital data can also provide a valuable cost saving for exploration budgets.

Seismic section digitising using a leading software solution, includes tracking of peaks and troughs, restoration of clipped peaks, and interpolation of trough values if none are displayed, for total waveform reconstruction.  Basic processing of the digital data, including filtering, mute, AGC, trace mixing and trace interpolation, may be performed. Shotpoint positions can be inserted into the headers of the digitised seismic data, either from supplied files or by digitising from a shotpoint map.

Accurate positioning information is critical to the use of the vectorised data.  DPTS supplies a Map Digitising service for both shotpoint positioning and structural map data.
