Petronas project awarded to Orogenic Resources, our Malaysian partner

DPTS are pleased to announce that, in association with our Malaysian partner, Orogenic Resources, we have been awarded a major data remastering project by Petronas (the state oil company of Malaysia).

The project involves the remastering of approximately 220,000 seismic and well log tapes and cartridges to 3590 cartridges. The work will be performed in Kuala Lumpur and is to be completed within a period of 4 years.

DPTS will be providing technical expertise including equipment, software, senior personnel and technical support. Orogenic Resources will provide the local infrastructure, staff and other ancillary services.

The project will start within the next 2 months and will provide significant profits to DPTS in the second half of this year and subsequent years.

This is another example of DPTS being the preferred contractor for large tape remastering projects world-wide.
