The Team
DPTS currently employ over 25 full-time staff in the UK office and overseas centres. Key personnel have many years experience in the oil exploration industry.
Tony Miller (Production Director)
Tony has over 30 years experience in the management of oil exploration data. Initially he worked at Kestrel Data Services before forming his own company Miller Data Management. He was Operations Director of the Energy Sector of BDM before leaving to join DPTS in 1989. In 2001 he became Production Director at DPTS. Tony is vastly experienced in understanding, manipulating and using exploration databases.
Nick Marchant (Transcription Manager)
Nick has been with DPTS for 23 years and was with Western Geophysical's acquisition crews for 7 years before this. Nick is responsible for the day to day operation of the Transcription Department. He has extensive knowledge of data recovery techniques and seismic tape formats.
Irene Taylor (Data Manager)
Irene has over 19 years experience in the management of exploration data. She worked for Western Geophysical before joining Kestrel Data Services, where she stayed for 13 years and was responsible for the well log and seismic departments and later became Data Development Manager. Irene joined DPTS in 2002 and is responsible for the population and development of Exploration Archives.
Philip Webb (Project Manager)
Phil has been with DPTS for 11 years starting as a Operator running transcription jobs. He has worked overseas in Morocco and Oman and is now responsible for the nav merging of surveys for major UK processing contractors.
Richard Jenkins (Senior Programmer)
Richard also has over 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry, all of which have been at DPTS. He is responsible for the design and on-going development of the renown DPTS Diplomat transcription and digitising software.
Peter Eves (Senior Engineer)
Peter has over 20 years experience in the oil exploration and computer engineering industries including working for SSL and CGG. He has worked at DPTS for 11 years and is responsible for maintaining all the DPTS hardware in our UK centre and various overseas centres.
Vijay Kumar (Senior Project Manager)
Vijay has over 20 years oil exploration industry experience, 13 of which have been at DPTS. He has also worked for Simon Petroleum Technology and CGG. Vijay has managed several overseas projects, including ones in Saudi Arabia, India , Morocco, Bangladesh, Ghana and Malaysia.
Kevin Painter (Project Manager)
Kevin has been at DPTS for 20 years and before that he worked at SSL. Kevin has managed large transcription project overseas including copying 300,000 tapes and cartridges for Petrobras in Brazil for loading to the Petrobank. In recent years he has been responsible for the nav merging of over 100 seismic surveys.
