Exploration Archives is a website
run by
DPTS to manage digital exploration data for its clients.
It has been designed to facilitate identification of distinct products
(datasets) and to provide the maximum amount of information about
each product to the user. The gathering of the information provides
rigorous QC of each dataset in the form of contents listings, maps,
headers etc. produced using
DPTS Diplomat™ tape utility
software.
All content is entered by
DPTS with users having read only
access. Provision of an ordering system is anticipated by the end
of 2007.
The website design enables users to narrow their search via country,
region, field, and area to identify the surveys for which data is
held and to list all the different products available for each survey.
At the site the user is asked for a username and password. These are
allocated by
DPTS and there can be multiple users.
On entering the site the user is presented with a list of surveys
for which data is held:
This list can be sorted by clicking any of the field headings and
can be filtered by country, region and field.
